Library Lines

Have you completed your Summer Reading Club log and handed it in for the
awards ceremony? These need to be handed into the Library by 5pm Wednesday 24
January. The awards ceremony will be held in the Library at 11am Thursday 25
January.

The May Gibbs exhibition has arrived safely and is available for viewing until
the 2 February. Raylene Slade from Hillston has driven 4 hours just to visit the
Gumnut babies.

This week's new magazine titles are a little lite on, but they include Double
Helix, Handmade, Australian Artist, Tech Life and Australian Woodsmith.

New kid's titles include Dump trucks haul, Bulldozers push, Cranes lift, and
Concrete mixers stir by Beth Bence Reinke, Clark the shark and the big book report
by Bruce Hale, Fancy Nancy: time for puppy school by Jane O'Connor, Danny and
the Dinosaur: school days by Syd Hoff, Paddington's day off by Michael Bond and
The book of dust by Phillip Pullman.

New nonfiction titles include The sensitive gut by Harvard Medical School,
Home by Tara Dennis, Mummy told me not to tell by Cathy Glass, Empty cradles by
Margaret Humphreys, Look me in the eye by John Elder Robison, Running with
scissors by Augusten Burroughs, Digital cameras & photography for dummies by
Mark Justice Hinton, Charles Mason by Simon Wells, Sick to death by Hedley
Thomas, Grassland flora by David Eddy, 82 modern style ideas to create at home,
Shattered silence by Melissa G Moore, Guide for women with early breast cancer by
Cancer Australia and Lucky man by Michael J Fox.

Upcoming events to keep in mind are:

Friday 19 January until Friday 2 February 2018, the Library will be hosting the
May Gibbs traveling exhibition.

Wednesday 24 January Summer Reading Club reading logs are due to be
handed today by 5pm.

Thursday 25 January Summer Reading Club Awards presentation 11am.

Friday 26 January Australia Day Public Holiday. Please note that the Library
will be closed.

Saturday 27 January Craft session at 10.30am. Bookings required.
